I use ubuntu (breezy) on my laptop and I've just compiled 0.1.5 from
sources. The only tricky part is to discover all packages you need in
advance, then it's just matter of ./configure, make, make install ; I
think that the f-spot README should be improved with the list of
common debian/ubuntu packages to install in order to compile. I could
do that, but... right now I don't remember exactly that long list :)
This is a partial list:
libgnomeui-dev
libexif-dev
mono-devel
sqlite3
liblcms1-dev
libgphoto2-2-dev
gtk-sharp(2?)
libgnome2.0-cil
libgconf2.0-cil (libgconf-cil?)
libdbus-cil
...
Hope this helps,
Emanuele
