Storing Preferences

After a quick look, it doesn't appear F-Spot have a way to store user
preferences. Bugs that need this functionality:

Previous window position/size, sidebar size

Photo scaling number in Gallery export

I haven't filed a bug for this yet, but previous state information
(browsing or viewing a photo, and what scroll position/which picture)
would be good too.

Are these things a no brainer for GConf, or is storing them in the DB an
option/better?
