I think that there is a plan for f-spot to handle XMP tags since it
seems to be the new standard. For myself, I olnly planned to try to get
my old IVie wMediaPro tags into f-spot. But we will see where it takes
me...

Perhaps it will be ported to C# :) Anyway the C# library I am using
seems to handle EXIF and IPCT tags well. For the moment it will mean
duplicate EXIF code though.

I am only using persons as keyword, but it could perhaps import the key
words under "Imported keyword" category or something, and then manually
edited? Should be easy to select all pictures with one imported key
word, and modify them.

Yes - At least I think so :) It handles it in Location.

Could perhaps have a tag for "Import iView Media Pro Location?"

I mainly thought of converting the IPTC tags to f-spot tags which should
be XMP if I do not remember wrong. Am not sure yet I will try to get
f-spot to export IPCT tags though.
