Hej
I did a very quick comparison with Adobe Photoshop Album, and I found
the following.
Easy to change the layout of the window
ThumbNail size Visible picture information
~ -------------- --------------------------
small No information
medium date and time
large Date, Time and Tags
Huge Date, Time. Tags, Caption, path, and size
Very simple way of negating a search criteria
* Matching All tags are fullfilled (AND)
* Close Some tags are fullfilled (OR)
* Not None of the tags are fullfilled (NOT)
Dateline - Indicating number of pictures per month
Calender View
~ Possibility to add comments for a day
~ Slideshow on all pictures taken during one day.
Adobe's importer looks better due to the pictures scroll up one row,
instead of as in f-spot beeing overwritten.
The Negate check box enables you to quickly find all photos that do not
have a Location tag.
For instance:
1) Select main Location tag to select
all photos with a location tag.
2) Negate this.
After checking these features I quickly realize that I would very much
like to see them in F-Spot as well.
I would be willing to try to contribute some code to enable this, but
can not dedicate to much time to it unfortunately. I will see what I can
do though.
Any comments?
