Hi, 

Currently f-spot allows importing of a folder of photos and showing it
in a tabbed window. Thumbnails of all the photos from all the imported
folders are shown in one window. This window gets populated with a lot
of photos even if just a couple of folders are imported, making it quite
unwieldy. The thumbnail rendering time might also get very large in this
case. 

Would it be better to keep track of different sources (i.e. dirs) in the
interface, and allow selection of what to show in a "summary" tabbed
window ? The result of searches on categories like "People" or
"People"->"XYZ" could show up in a "search" tab.
