as JP said, we have other bugs with modal windows blocking totally the
evo GUI when one is open and an authentication dialog (also modal) pops
up. I guess we either not use modal windows at all, or maybe it's better
if we make the auth dialogs be not modal at all, not sure if that would
fix all cases.
