I use Evolution under Fedora 35 with KDE/Plasma. Recently I've
found
that the Help isn't available, although the correct evolution-help
package is installed. I've reported this:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2057454
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
I've retried using a new Gnome account on a freshly booted system.
The
error message is exactly the same, i.e. I get the *KDE* popup. Very
weird.
Following a suggestion from Milan (see the BZ link above) this has now
been fixed. For some reason I don't understand, Evo was trying to call
the KDE help system instead of the Gnome one.
The magic incantation is:
gio mime x-scheme-handler/help yelp.desktop
KDE apps continue to use their own Help system.
