Please provide Evolution version information, steps how to "pipe a
message to a program" (no such thing in the Message menu or right-click
menu, maybe it's a filter action?), which exact command is used, what
the program does, if it's a plain text or a HTML message, etc etc.

The more specific you are, the less people have to guess. :)
