[Evolution] Evolution calender glitch: change date of appoinment

Dear mailing list,
there is a small annoying glitch in my Evolution setup (3.28.5-0 on Ubuntu
18.04.1):
when I want to change the date of an appointment, the arrows for changing
month and year overlap (the "<>" symbols in the circle in the photo). It is
not possible to change either month or year in a controlled manner. Is there
a workaround for that?
