        Hi,
those used to be (mostly) related to freeing memory, when a folder
summary tried to free from memory message infos which had not been
needed anymore. It's usually a quick operation, but it can get stale in
certain situations.

As others said, 3.12.9 is very old, it's even not the latest 3.12.x
version (it's 3.12.11), and there happened many changes meanwhile,
including these background operations being properly named.
