Folks;

I'm using evolution (3.20.4, antergos/arch) in "vertical layout mode -
folder view on the left, full message view on the right, message list
in current folder in the middle.

In this setup, I would *expect* that folder view and message list
always have a fixed width and message view itself scales with the
screen space available. What actually happens however is that the
message list (middle of the columns) seems to get wider or narrower
when resizing the main window - to the point of the column completely
disappearing when toggling from fullscreen to "normal" view.

Is this how it should work? Any way to enforce a fixed width for the
first and second column in "vertical" mode?

It's how it does work, don't know about "should" because people can
have different opinions. I suspect resizing the message pane would not
be a popular change. And of course you can always resize the various
columns manually by dragging the separators.
