[Evolution] Help with contacts, please!

Using Evolution 3.10.4, the latest available in my Mint distro.

Suddenly, Google Contacts sync has stopped working.  This is a widely
known problem.  Google has changed something, it seems, that leaves
other users bereft as well.  I notice Google Contacts in Thunderbird has
stopped working, too.

Is there a fix for this?  It's so frustrating.
