Yes, in the "Help" menu of Evolution under "Contents". If that option does not show up in your distribution 
you might need to install another package, such as "evolution-help". 
The same manual is available at http://library.gnome.org/users/evolution/

Not sure whay exactly you ask for, but if you make it a meeting instead of an appointment, you can request 
the presence of people and they will receive an invitation.
