I couldn't get a backtrace with 

gdb --batch --ex "t a a bt" -pid=10904 &>bt.txt

when evo was hanging:
cat bt.txt
 ptrace: Operation not permitted.

Help is needed here.
BTW: Evo was in state: TLl which means?
