I am repeating my query about the following.
On Fri, 2011-01-28 at 09:12 +0000, Pete Biggs wrote:
On the left had side of the Calendar Window, it shows three calendars,
two of which are called "On this Computer Personal" They were both
checked. If I uncheck one of them, I get only one entry in the window
for each appointment. But how do I arrange to eliminate the extra copy
of the Calendar?
As Milan said, it's a bug:

You can fix it by editing the Gconf entries - there was a couple of
threads earlier in the month about it, but relating to contacts entries:

I've been dealing with this by unchecking Personal in the second
appearance of "On this computer". Unfortunately, it keeps cropping up
again, for reasons I don't understand.
The links say it can be fixed by editing the appropriate entry(ies)
under .gconf, but they aren't very specific. Apparently I have to edit
one or more of the xml files %gconf.xml, and I don't understand the
syntax well enough to do that.
If the next version of evolution is due to be out soon, I will just
wait, but if that will take a while, I wonder if you could refer me to
explicit editing instructions.
