I can't delete any email in Evolution. Every time I open Evolution,
deleted mail reappears in the inbox.

I have tried deleting the mail, then going into the Wastebasket,
highlighting all the mail, and pressing delete. This does nothing. I
have tried File > Empty Wastebasket. Again, nothing.

I have "Hide deleted messages" ticked.

Any ideas?

Oops - sorry, ignore that. You have to Expunge the folder. It would be
good if this process could be automated (say on exit). The Empty trash
on exit option doesn't do this.

I do beg the lists's pardon for repeatedly replying to myself but I've
just discovered this behaviour again when I reboot. Expunging, deleting,
manually highlighting messages and deleting them, emptying the
wastebucket - nothing deletes messages. They reappear when I start the
computer up again.

Is this a known problem?

I have Evolution 3.2.1 installed on Ubuntu 11.10 and I delete mail every
day. It never comes back.
