Basically I have an url on the form:
https://some.domain.com/caldav/st/home/my name domain com/calendars/MyCalendar
It works without problem using thunderbird+ligthning, aswell as if I
connect using a webbrowser, so the URL and credentials are right. I
tried checking and unchecking the SSL but it does not seem to make a
difference.
If I fill in
URL
Use SSL
Username
and press "Browse for a calendar"
I get:
Server returned unexpected data. 301 Moved Permanently.
shown in the dialogue when using direct connection to the internet.
The format of the URL I have for my CalDAV connection to Zimbra is
caldav://host.somewhere.else/dav/username/calname
with SSL ticked and the correct username filled in. I believe the
username in the URL can be replaced with username domain if you have
multiple domains on your Zimbra install.
The 'calname' is the name of the calendar - the default one on Zimbra is
'Calendar'.
the "Browse for a calendar" works with this setup.
If I use system defaults for connection I get another error message:
Server returned unexpected data. 2-Cannot resolve hostname.
That sounds as if there is a typo...
Could you please advise on how I can get this working?
I have also read through this thread with a similar option, but it
does not work for me to uncheck SSL.

If it doesn't work, then I suggest you run the e-calendar-factory with
the debug options set as it says in at least one of the threads.
