Some of my appointments get created with a pin icon. What is it for?
I haven't been able to figure out how it got there, how to get rid of
it, or what it signifies. Nor can I find any reference to a pin in the
docs.
Apologies if I am missing the obvious.

Hi,
do you have a picture of it, please? Some of those icons can be
theme-specific, aka each theme can provide its own version for it.
Maybe, it's the icon to tell you the event is created in a different
timezone then you have configured in Evolution. When you edit the event,
choose View->Timezone, and there will be new entry which will show you
in which timezone it has times.
Bye,
Milan
