I'm running Evo as well in KDE 3.5.x on FreeBSD and it took me some time
to realize that Evo needs the gnome-settings-daemon to present the
icons; ofc this gnome-settings-daemon is not launched in KDE by default
and as well Evo itself does not take care of this; maybe you are missing
this in SuSE/KDE too; if so, it should be noted somewhere, for example
in the FAQ;
