[Evolution] Evolution CTL/+ select problem

I've got a problem wherein 

New mail prepared 
press BCC to bring up  the contact list
Usually I am able to go control+ select multiple contacts and then choose BCC an all those contacts appear in the BCC field of the prepared mail
NOW,,,,,,
Control select doesn't function at all in this attempt
Shift+select areas still works but CRL+click does not.
Any thoughts ?
