[Evolution] problems with installing evolution

     I am new to Linux i general. I have downloaded the new version of
Evolution  to the archive. I click extract and then open. I just keep
getting more boxes  and it isn't opened. I guess I thought it would be
opened directly into the older versoin of Evolution I have on my
computer. It doesn't show there either.
