My evolution install, at work, has the mail lists collapsed when
I restart evolution. This is fine, but it seems to be a global
configuration. When I want to move an email the folders window
that pops up has the folders collapsed as well. I have several
sub-folders and If I am moving a lot of email, I have to keep
un-collapsing the folders. This didn't happen before and it does
not occur on my evolution install at home. I think there must be
some configuration file for this, I don't know where to find it.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
..well I see the this file ~/.evolution/mail/config/folder-tree-expand-state.xml
which has the folders "expand=true", but evolution doesn't seem to be reading
it on startup.
I have upgraded to 2.12, I still have this problem. I can't figure out
what config file is not expanding the folders when I start evolution.
If move an email the list is not expanded as well. I don't see anything
in ~.gconf/evolution that is not being updated and I removed all files
from .gnome/apps/evolution (even though I am not using gnome). I can't
figure out why this expanded folder "state" is not being saved. Am I
missing a global config somewhere?
Thanks,
Scott.
I quit evolution, removed all the files in ~/.evolution/mail/config,
restarted evolution and this is fixed now.
Thanks.
