Where/how may one track this, please?


In SVN. The stable branch should build on Windows and work more or
less like it did a couple of years ago.

 Are anywhere some newer evo-versions than 2.8.2-2 for Win[32|XP|...]
 available?


Well, there is a unstable test installer at
http://download.go-oo.org/evo/evolution-2.21.92-17.msi (from early
March). Reporting bugs against that is not really worth it, though.
