Sorry, I forgot to reply to all on my last message... I said that I can confirm this on Ubuntu 7.10 running Evo 2.12.0. Sorry I don't have a newer version to test on...

It is happening for me on Debian Sid/unstable.  :-(

I echo your hope for a quick fix/update.  It's frustrating not being
able to search via my categories after I spent so much time and energy
setting them up.
