I'm so sorry I didn't include my OS info with my previous question about Evolution. I installed version 2.12.1 into Kubuntu 7.04 but subsequently upgraded to 7.10 and also added the ubuntu-desktop package so I'm actually running Ubuntu 7.10 with Gnome. The problem with the previews exists in both desktop environments because I was hoping for some reason that adding the gnome package might fix it. It didn't. Any help you could offer as to why the previews are getting messed up would be awesome. Thanks so much!!

Hi,
I'm new to Evolution and in the process of switching over to it completely and so far, I really like it. But I'm having some strange behavior that I'm not sure how to fix.
When I first open Evolution, email previews in the bottom pane work perfectly. But if I switch folders, such as from inbox to sent mail, previews stop working altogether. If I switch back to the original folder it still doesn't work. The only things that restore email preview is restarting the program or clicking on the "On This Computer" top level link/folder. Then the preview feature is restored for the next folder I click on but I lose it again as before when switching to a different folder.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is it a faulty install? A bug? An incorrect setting somewhere? Any help you could give would be most appreciated!
Thanks so much in advance!
Rachel

What happens if you hit the Cancel button after you switch folders? Does the message pane work then?
