I downloaded the new glib and extracted it, rebooted and then I got the following on attempted program start:

 

(evolution-2.8:3372): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Error loading XPM image loader: Image type 'xpm' is not supported

 

(evolution-2.8:3372): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file 'C:\Program Files\evolution-2.8.0\etc\gtk-2.0\gdk-pixbuf.loaders': No such file or directory

 

 

The Following was an error window:

 

evolution-2.8.exe - Unable to Locate Component

 

This application has failed to start because libgailutil-18.dll was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

 

I may just need to clear the table and go back and try to start from scratch. 

 

 

This is all “Greek to me” but it probably makes sense to someone.  Any suggestions?

You need a newer glib. 2.12.4 is the latest one.
