Re: [Evolution] Evolution continues to ask for mail password

Recently, Evolution has started asking for the POP3 password before it
does its regularly scheduled check, despite the "Remember this
password" box being ticked. It throws up the "Please enter the POP
password for (account) on (server)", which a blank password being
presented. Entering the correct password enables that check, but the
password is then promptly forgotten.

You do own the file that stores the passwords and it got the proper
permission bits set?

$ ls -l ~/.gnome2_private/Evolution
$ ls -ld ~/.gnome2_private/

The prompt first appears within one minute of Evolution gaining focus,
and continues every minute (my POP3 collection schedule) for about 5
or 6 minutes after Evolution loses focus.

It's seriously driving me nuts.

If all this is relevant ...

The Ubuntu package doesn't use gnome-keyring integration, does it? This
may or may not be related...
