[Evolution] evolution contacts

hi,

i searched the internet, the mailing lists and the
documentation and found no answer to the following 
problem: i don't get or don't see any check marks
under contacts in evolution indicating the already
filled fields like business phone, private phone, fax, etc.
so how can i choose the corresponding fields? When
i change the name of the field the phone number remains
the same. (the documentation says that there should be
check marks, but there are'nt any.) is it only my problem
or the default behaviour?

any help is appreciated.
