I have been quite busy over the last days so I did not had time to investigate before.

Did you ever try accessing that Sent folder on the IMAP server using a
different mail client? What makes you think that Evo is on fault, rather
than your webmail thingy?
I emerged Thunderbird and I had the same behaviour.. I contacted the email provider, and it is indeed a bug with their IMAP server...
So no BUG from Evolution there!!!
