I run 2.4 and 2.5 on FC4. They aren't that hard to compile once you get
the hang of it. Just download the tarballs from ftp.gnome.org and follow
in the instructions in the Evolution README. You need at least
evolution, evolution-data-server, libsoup and gtkhtml. I don't use
Exchange or (for the moment) gnome-pilot so that's about it.
