Re: [Evolution] Unstable exchange connector

No way to use 2.4 from ftp.ximian.com
Even if 2.4 get installed (here is the rpm -qa):

evolution-data-server-1.4.2.1.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1
evolution-2.4.2.1.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1
evolution-exchange-2.4.2.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1

than come the problem with libsoup

with libsoup 2.4.2 (from the ftp.ximian) I get this error:

libsoup-2.2.so.7 is needed by (installed) evolution-data-server-1.4.2.1.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1
libsoup-2.2.so.7 is needed by (installed) evolution-2.4.2.1.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1
libsoup-2.2.so.7 is needed by (installed) evolution-exchange-2.4.2.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1
libsoup >= 2.2.0 is needed by (installed) evolution-exchange-2.4.2.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1

If I install 2.4.9
than

error: Failed dependencies:
libsoup >= 2.2.0 is needed by (installed) evolution-exchange-2.4.2.0.200512070410-0.snap.novell.0.1

and

/opt/gnome/libexec/evolution/2.4/evolution-exchange-storage: error while loading shared libraries: libsoup-2.2.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I will revert to old release 2.4.1 (maybe I will try the unstable 2.5)

I've found some of the later releases quite unstable too. ( 2.5 series
runs for around 5min and then just dies (not sure if its eds, evo or
connector) but the libsoup version for this release is 2.2.7 and can
be found at www.gnome.org/projects/evolution (I think the
ftp.ximian.com releases are a bit old as its all hosted at gnome.org
now.
