Re: [Evolution] Evolution's icons

Is there a setting within evolution (or a "hidden" setting in some
config file) that would allow me to shrink the icons in the icon bar at
the top of the window. Or can they be controlled only through Gnome's
theme-selecting process?

The icon size /can/ be changed by the GTK+ Theme. Although I don't
remember seeing any that does this -- with the exception of "Large
Print", which enlarges the icons.

So yes, this can be done using the theme. But this most likely would
require you to hack up a custom theme. ;) No, there is no "hidden"
setting that I am aware of.

There definitely is not a special Evolution setting anywhere for this.
Evolution uses the default GNOME settings (GTK+ Theme in particular)
here.

A hint that might solve the issue for you: Use "text beside icons"
rather than "text below icons". See the "Menu and Toolbar Preferences"
in GNOME Control Center. Or just run the 'gnome-ui-properties' app.

"Text beside icons" saves a great amount of screen real-estate, and I
definitely prefer this setting. HTH
