People,
On my home machine I am using 2.6.2 on FC5 and I accidentally discovered
that there are still mails in Inbox that should not be there eg mails re
viagra etc. I have always had "Empty trash folders on exit - Every
time" checked and even when I manually purge the Inbox these mails are
still there when I exit Evolution and open Inbox with Vim . .
What is going on?
These are message that have been marked as junk. They're not deleted.
Messages marked as junk show up in the junk folder, where you need to
delete (and expunge) them to get them to be actually deleted out of
their original location. It's done this way so you can catch messages
erroneously marked as junk, and they'll re-appear in their original
location.
