[Evolution] Evolution locking up

Evolution is locking every time I start it up.  Any help would be
appreciated.  

I've run into this problem any number of times and I've usually solved it
by removing the .evolution directory, getting evolution to run and slowly
adding pieces back into the .evolution directory to get back my mail files
and such.  

Unfortunately Evolution tries to connect to my IMAP server on startup and
gives me a dialog to OK the SSL connection to it and then locks.  

I don't even know where it is getting the information about the IMAP
server since the .evolution directory is gone.  

Where else does Evolution store data?
