I have been using a cyrus imap mail server for our business for quite
some time now. There are some imap directories on the server which are
shared amongst the users but can not get access (reading, posting, or
writing) to using evolution 2.2.1.1 for sarge. We need to access these

Access permissions are correct and the shared directories are assessable
through OS X mail app with all the proper ACLs. The issue is when
working with evolution and through the preferences and account settings
clicking on 'show only subscribed folder's under receiving options makes
no difference as accessing/showing any subscribed folders on the server.

Has anyone else have the same issue or had it fixed. I have been rather
perplexed on this issue since I have exhausted my resources.

I would really like to get this to work esp. there are company
directories under the main cyrus mail tree.

After many, many hrs and a lot of reading and such, I figured the issue
out. I just happened to stuble on something in the
evolution-help-contecnts and decided to give it a try. I had to change
IMAP to IMAP4 which I had never guessed. And this was after I
downloaded and moved the entire evolution archive to my server.
