Hi List!
Thanks to the various threads related to syncinc with Palm I'm now able
to do this.
- My Evo I'm using now is version 2.0.2 System Gentoo Kernel 2.6.10
- Due to several updates I have two folders in my home directory one is
named .evolution the other is named evolution. They both have different
structure i.e. different kinds of subfolders.
When I make a sync by pressing the hotsync button the Palm tells my all
things are correct - but it never updates the stuff especially the
adresses.
By starting gpilotd by hand ( killall gpilotd && /usr/libexec/gpilotd)
I've found out that gpilotd uses the addresses in
~/.evolution/local/Contacts/addressbook.DB which holds rather old
versions of my addresses. Renaming or moving the .evolution folder
causes gpilotd to do nothing.
eaddrconduit-Message: pre_sync: Addressbook Conduit v.0.1.2
(gpilotd:12873): eaddrconduit-WARNING **: EBook not loaded
(gpilotd:12873): eaddrconduit-WARNING **: Could not start wombat server
(gpilotd:12873): gpilotd-WARNING **: Copy to pilot failed!
So how can I tell gpilotd to use the right folder/files for syncing?
thanks in advice
Martin
