Short of "use the source, Luke", does anyone have any suggestions as to
what I can do to try and get it working with evolution 2.4?
btw, I'm using gentoo, with evolution 2.4.1.
Uhm... Gentoo does build from source. So where is you problem? ;)
The prefer-plain plugin was moved from stable/enabled to experimental.
It still is part of the Evo sources.
To build Evo with this plugin, use the --enable-plugins option to
configure. Either give it a list of plugins to enable, or use the
'experimental' keyword to enable all plugins classified experimental.
I don't know how this will be done in detail, using Gentoo Portage.
btw2, I understand that the prefer-plain plugin breaks other things, but
I'm happy with that.
