Re: [Evolution] Evolution crashes while sending mail

meaningless.

run it inside gdb, and when it crashes, run 'thread apply all bt', and
then submit a bug report with that information in it to
bugzilla.gnome.org.

I ran evolution from the command line and got the following warning.
Not sure if this is at all helpful.

(evolution:7074): evolution-mail-WARNING **: couldn't get service : No
provider available for protocol `'

Thanks,

My smtp server is correct. I also tried it with two different smtp
servers I know are correct and it didn't work for either one of them.
Still crashes.

I recently had the same behavior. I had mistyped the name of the SMTP

I just returned from a few days away from my computer. Since I got
back I've been unable to send any mail with evolution. When I hit
send on the compose window evolution crashes. It gives me the gnome
error:

The Application "evolution" has quit unexpectedly. You can inform the
developers of what happened to help them fix it. Or you can restart
the application right now.

And then I only get 2 buttons: Restart Application and Close

I ran up2date on my fc4 box and evolution updated to 2.2.3.

Has anyone else experienced a problem similar to this? I'm unable to
send any mail from evolution, as it crashes every time I try.

Help?
John
