[Evolution] go to next message on delete?

Hi,

I recently upgraded from Mandrake 9.0 to 10.0, so Evolution was
upgraded too. I'm not sure what the old version was, but the new
version is 1.4.5.

In the old version, when I hit delete it would go the the next
message; but now it closes the window. I couldn't see how to fix this
in the tools/settings menu - is there a way to make it behave like the
old version?
Also, I don't see any "next" or "previous" buttons in the message
window - is there a way [maybe a keyboard shortcut?] to navigate
through the messages like I could in the old version?
