Hello all,
I've been using evo since the very beginning on mandrake implementations.
Recently I upgraded a system to MDK 10.1, which brought with it Gnome 2.6
and Evo 2.0.1. I've encountered 3 issues that I'm wondering if there are
resolutions for currently.
1. My trash folder always appears empty .. even when the properties of this
folder indicate that there are upwards of 100 messages in it. This is
problematic since I'm filitering spam there and like to check there once in
awhile to be sure it's not filtering good mail out. Is this a known bug?
Is there a setting or a patch? I've searched the places I know to search
and haven't found other references to this problem.
2. Navigating through contacts. I have upwards of 500 contacts in Evo. As
a result, when I'm browsing for that, the navigation buttons along the side
(123, a, b, c .. etc) have always been most helpful. Those appear to have
disappeared on me in the current version. Are they gone from the code? Or
is there a way that I can turn them on. These are huge for me. It's quite
cumbersome to use the search fields everytime I want to browse. I'd
appreciate if someone can tell me if there's a way to get those buttons
back, or even tell me if they should be there. I've had no luck finding
screenshots for 2.0.
3. I've found reference to my last issue in the archives, but wanted to ask
if there is a patch or resolution that I can implement on my machine:
Forwarding of mail with attachments will now strip the email of the
attachments unless I "forward as attachment." I've never used that forward
method, and would prefer to be able to forward in line and decide myself
whether or not the attachments stay or go. In the patches archive, it
appears that this was going to be restored. Is that something that I can
update / patch here?
I've been a big fan of Evo since I started using it several versions ago.
I'm an early adopter in most things and patient with bugs & changes. These
3 issues, however are causing me problems & I'd like to exhaust my
possibilities for restoring the functionality before I take the step of
migrating to another mail program.
Thanks in advance for ANY suggestions & help.
Best regards,
Dan
