[Evolution] Sync with a Palm fails

About every 4th ot 5th time I try to sync my Palm with Evolution 1.4.5 Suse 8.2 I get a message that a
connecton can not be made..
when this happen Tools-> Pilot Settings is also not available. The only way I have been able to sync after
this is to reboot.
Anyone else have this happen?
