Re: [Evolution] How to delete the "--" before the signature?

I would like to know if there is a way to delete or modify the
characters before the signature?

For instance to replace the -- by
________________________________________________________________

You should not do this. The text '-- ' (note the space) is the correct
signature separator -- mail programs know that they can strip text below
it when replying, etc.

Yes, very true. I would recommend to let the separator as it is, cause
this is the standard which most mailers do understand and respect.

However, if we don't tell you, you will find it anyway. At least it is
often documented in the archives...

If you really, really insist on breaking the standards and cannot
resist: Script signatures don't use this sig mark. (Psst, don't tell
anyone. ;)

So create a script that spews out your sig. Note that script signatures
are expected to be HTML, even for text/plain messages.
