Re: [Evolution] Can't access settings

When you get the gdb crash, can you get a  backtrace of it?

i.e. when it crashes, run 'thread apply all bt'.

I'm running evolution 1.4.5-2mdk that came with Mandrake 9.2

After that upgrade trying to change the settings (Menu:tools->settings)
results in a core dump when I'm logged in as myself. gdb tells me teh
segment violation occurs at
       g_str_hash() in /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so0
which symlinks to:

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root  root       22 Jan 31 21:09 libglib-2.0.so.0 ->
libglib-2.0.so.0.200.3*
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  root   441960 Aug 27  2003 libglib-2.0.so.0.200.3*

I don't know if its relevant, but I also get a lot of this error on
stderr:

        Entity: line 69: error: Premature end of data in tag meta line 5
        </body></html>
                      ^
        Entity: line 69: error: Premature end of data in tag meta line 4
        </body></html>
                      ^
        Entity: line 69: error: Premature end of data in tag head line 3
        </body></html>
                      ^
        Entity: line 69: error: Premature end of data in tag html line 3
        </body></html>
                      ^

My question is .... if I have a corrupt config file

a) why does evolution work OK apart from this?
b) which file is the problem, what do I zap and have to reconstruct?
