I am new to evolution previously used Outlook or Pegasus. I want to be
able to use a random quote taken from a quote file as a signature both
of my old products allowed this. How can I do the same in Evolution.
In addition to the already posted working solution, here are some
general notes:
* To enable dynamic created signatures, ad an executable file (most
likely a script) to your signatures. You can set this as the default
signature for any account.
* Even when composing text/plain messages, script signatures are treated
as html formatted. Thus you have to add <br> instead of \n as a line
break -- or simply wrap the signature in <pre> </pre> tags.
* To enable other mailers to automatically detect the signature, please
add the string "\n-- \n" at the beginning.
