Hello list,
I'm on RH 8.0.94 (Phoebe), Evolution 1.2.2-1 from Red Hat.
Got a problem when sending office documents (xls, doc and ppt
extensions) as attachments in HTML formatted mail to my Outlook clients.
Apparently the header should contain:
Content-Type: application/<whatever>; name="Cases.xls"
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Cases.xls"
When I try to send I file I get:
Message: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Cases V2.0
Acceptance 20030206_sig.xls"\r\n
Message: Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel; name="Cases V2.0
Acceptance 20030206_sig.xls"\r\n
Message: Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\r\n
(P.S. captured with etherreal)
In this same box the same message with the same attachments works with
Mozilla Mail:
Message: Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel;\r\n
Message: name="Cases V2.0 Acceptance 20030206_sig.xls"\r\n
Message: Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\r\n
Message: Content-Disposition: inline;\r\n
Message: filename="Cases V2.0 Acceptance 20030206_sig.xls"\r\n
Message: \r\n
Only difference I see if the Content-Disposition, but don't know enough
to see why this should matter.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Best Regards,
