Re: [Evolution] Downloading latest version

  Is there a way to get the latest stable version of Evolution without
using their Ximian installer program?

Yep, you can install the packages with 'rpm -ivh *.rpm' if you have all
wanted Evolution packages in the current directory (only them).

You don't need *devel and *pilot packages, if you won't use them.

However, that _only_ applies to Evolution. If you want the new desktop
XD2 too, see Darrens reply.

Don't know how recent the RH packages have to be for Evolution, so you
might need up2date as well. Check missing dependencies, if any --
updated needed packaged are even on the Evolution ftp server.
