Re: [Evolution] [REPOST: bonobo-activation-server crash]

bonobo-activation-server is a core GNOME daemon... it is not ximian
specific.

hey all -
every few days, when i start evolution, it gives me this error:

Cannot activate component OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent :
The error from the activation system is:
Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/INV_OBJREF:1.0'

it then goes through each of the evolution components with identical
messages, GNOME_Evolution_Addressbook_ShellComponent,
GNOME_Evolution_Calendar_ShellComponent and
GNOME_Evolution_Summary_ShellComponent. of course then the evo window
comes up with nothing in the main pane. the only way to fix it is to
kill bonobo-activation-server... then evolution starts fine.

ideas? why does bonobo-activation-server screw up like this? is bonobo
a standard component, that i can update with apt-get, or is it ximian?

thanks

Cam
