Sounds like a great plan, but I might not go through all of the trouble
if Evolution won't display all of my appointments in the end (see my
earlier post about showing only 6 of the 10+ appts I entered). Plus,
since I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, the road
between wanting to write such a program and even knowing where to start
is very long. I suppose with all of the free time I have lately that I
should start learning :-)

Is there an easy way to enter a large number of appointments at once?
I'm trying to make an ICS file for the 2003 NFL schedule, and I have a
list of all of the games. I tried making a spreadsheet (which was easy
to do from the given list on espn.com) and then exporting as a CSV, but
Evo doesn't import CSV. So I imported into Outlook on my wife's machine
from the CSV, and that worked but of course Outlook makes it hard to get
that data to an ICS format. If there's an easier way, please let me
know, otherwise I'll just enter every game manually.
the easiest way I can think of is to write a program that reads that CSV
and, via libcal-client, accesses the calendar file.
Then, if good enough, we might even use your code as a CSV importer for
evolution :-)
cheers
