Re: [Evolution] GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING

Thanks for your response Jeff, my problem is that evolution crashes
when I try to print, but if I turn off polling in CUPS, then I am fine,
but do not have access to any printers. Of course this was not a
problem in 1.2.4.

Evolution dioesn't know anything about CUPS or printing, it just uses
libgnomeprint, so if that loads all printers on a network then there's
nothing we can do about it.

Can I somehow make evolution not try and load all the printer on the
network when I try and print, but just use the PRINTER or LPDEST?? I
have CUPS with Polling, so I am learning 100+ printers.

Maybe a backtrace would help, but then again it might not.

I have upgraded to Evolution 1.4 from 1.2 via red-carpet. Everything is
working except that I cannot print. The error I get at the command line
is:

(evolution:4702): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: The CUPS printer
trn1n could not be created

Then I get a Segmentation fault and evolution crashes.

I can print from other applications, and from the command line.

HELP.....
