[Evolution] hebrew in evolution

howdy all :)
using evolution 1.4.4 from debian unstable on gnome 2.2.4, XFree ver
4.2.1.
i can see hebrew in evolution, but it apears backwords. i tried :
"LC_ALL=he_IL evolution"
and nothing apears to change.
all other GTK2 based applications seems to work fine with hebrew..
anyone ever expirienced anything similar ?
